Youth Enviro-Preneurship Programme (YEPP)

Welcome to YEPP, a programme designed to empower young people to take action on environmental issues. As a youth-founded organisation, we believe young people have the passion, creativity, and potential to create positive change in their communities and nationwide.

We support fellow youths in the following ways:

Community engagement

Community engagement is vital to creating lasting environmental change. We support young people in developing projects that engage their communities in environmental action, from awareness-raising campaigns to community clean-up events.

Training and workshops

We offer a range of training and workshops to help young people develop the skills and knowledge they need to create practical environmental projects. Our workshops cover topics such as leadership and financial management.

YEPP - Kabanga, Mukono District

Through a partnership with MITI Conservatory Limited, we have organised the skilling of 10 youths in Kabanga Parish in green energy alternatives, such as making beehive briquettes from waste material, making cooking stoves, and beekeeping. Since 2021, over a million briquettes have been made and sold, 30 cooking stoves produced and sold, and over 30 bee hives set up in Kabanga Parish.

Tukuuma has also purposed to employ at least 95% youths in the projects running in different communities. This opportunity is an income source for young people, inspiring them to protect the environment as a business or employment opportunity.
